I have always loved 3D 1vMany fighting games. Many of my favorite games come from studios like Sloclap, with standout titles such as Absolver and Sifu; Sucker Punch Productions, with the Ghost series (Ghost of Tsushima and Ghost of Yōtei); and Ubisoft Montréal, with For Honor.

I am also a practitioner of HEMA (Historical European Martial Arts) and have spent a long time studying the KDF tradition of fencing. My passion for martial arts, combined with my love for combat design, led me to create Lichtenauer, a game that puts you in the shoes of the historical figure Johannes Lichtenauer, the legendary grandmaster associated with the German martial arts tradition that flourished from the 14th through 16th centuries.

Everything about Lichtenauer is designed around one central fantasy:

You are the Grandmaster.
